With the movement back to a 12-ward system, city staff have the daunting task of re-evaluating the polling station locations for the 2006 municipal election. A report to city council in this regard is expected by the end of this month.

In response to the letter about Garson youths having no place to enjoy themselves, I was a child born and raised in this area.

The Greater Sudbury Airport's 2nd Annual Celebration of Aviation was held on Saturday, Sept. 17th and well over 500 people were in attendance. What a success! We would like to thank all those who contributed and participated in this event.

On TV the other night was a story about ATVs being allowed on the shoulder of our highways. I understand that this was a misleading announcement. It was only meant for communities that had bylaws to allow this privilege.

Since the day I left, I wanted to move back to Sudbury. I moved out West in my 20s for an education and a career. I got both, attending the University of British Columbia and beginning a career with Air Canada in Communications and Public Relations.

The new fees for fire services that have been passed by council is nothing more than another tax grab by our city. One has to wonder what our regular taxes are paying for when we continually see new user fees and charges for services.

Elmview Playgorund is a popular playground in a busy neighbourhood in the heart of Hanmer. Everyday kids occupy the playground and people use the tennis courts, field, and baseball diamond. In winter, there's an ice rink open for public skating.
