GNO exhibit Smooshes, Slabs & Slumps
Runs until June 28
Through ceramic-based work, Pamela Nelson explores material transformation using process as both method and subject. Grounded in the geological and industrial context of Sudbury, the work draws on the region’s deep history of mining and resource extraction — where rock is not only land, but commodity. Nelson’s perspective is gouged out of the apocalyptic rocky landscape of her homeland, leading her to project her personal narrative onto the structure of sculptural materials and industrial processes transposed against geological time. The show runs at GNO in the Place des Arts building until June 28. Learn more online here.
