In 1985, four country superstars joined forces to create the single greatest collaboration of country artists. Separately, each of them had countless number one records and albums, but as a unit, they became something more. Collectively, they spearheaded the “outlaw movement.”
Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson united as “The Highwaymen.” Over a span of ten years, they released three albums as a quartet, with their debut, “Highwayman”, reaching number one on the country album charts in America.
While they split and went their separate ways in 1995, a tribute to one of music's biggest country music supergroups reunites for a special show in Sudbury, reigniting the spirit of the Highwaymen.
The Forever Highwaymen holiday show comes to Sudbury on Friday, November 21, at the Caruso Club.

Gavan Tributes presents Canada’s original Highwaymen tribute, featuring Sudbury’s own Gavan Rousseau performing as Johnny Cash, Guy Melanson on stage as Willie Nelson and Will Chalmers performing as Waylon Jennings.
Northern Ontario’s premier band Roadhouse will anchor the show, with lead singer Dan Sigouin also performing as Kris Kristofferson. This special performance will include songs from each artist’s solo careers, as well as all the signature Highwaymen anthems.
Forever Highwaymen organizers said: “Join us for our annual dinner and show event at the Caruso Club to help support the Lions and the Christmas Telethon. The Highwaymen — and the children — thank you!”
Tickets are $60, with proceeds from the show supporting Sudbury’s local Lions Club telethon. It’s a full evening of entertainment, with a buffet-style dinner served at 6:00 pm, followed by the show at 7:30 pm. There will also be prizes, a 50/50 raffle and much more throughout the evening.
