A St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School student was arrested and is facing charges after allegedly threatening staff and students with a pair of scissors on Wednesday.
Greater Sudbury Police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn said officers were dispatched
Around 2:20 p.m. on October 15, 2025, officers were dispatched to the school off Algonquin Road in the city’s South End at around 2:20 p.m. on Oct. 15 in relation to a weapons complaint.

Officers arrived in less than 10 minutes and located the student outside the school, where the male student was taken into custody.
