Top Glove Boxing Academy is hosting a car wash fundraiser this Saturday, Aug. 30, at Chris’ Your Independent Grocer on Lorne Street.

The fundraiser runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Top Glove Is calling on you, and your dirty rides, to support the young boxers and future  Olympians here at Top Glove Boxing Academy,” the club said in a news release. “Bring your cars and even bikes to get freshened  up as we say good-bye to summer and prepare for the next season of fight-nights ahead.”

Funds raised at the event will “help support, prepare and raise money for our boxers for fight night on Sept. 20,” Top Glove said. Tickets for the Sept. 20 event are on sale now for $50.

Besides the car wash, a barbecue lunch will be available for purchase. A minimum $10 donation is suggested for the car wash.
