Sudbury Music Festival invites musically minded community members to attend its Annual General Meeting Nov. 3.
The meeting will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. in the library at Sudbury Secondary School.
Sudbury Music Festival’s mission is to provide young musicians an opportunity for artistic expression and personal growth in an encouraging and supportive environment. The festival is proud to celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2026.
The festival’s board is also welcoming Robyn Covell as its new festival co-ordinator.
“Robyn is an experienced and community-minded arts leader with a strong background in operations management, team leadership and cultural programming,” said a press release.
“A graduate of Laurentian University, Robyn is deeply invested in Sudbury’s creative scene, with years of experience managing people, projects and performances in both professional and volunteer capacities.”
"We invite the community to attend the Sudbury Music Festival's AGM and meet our new Coordinator," said Sudbury Music Festival chair Ralph McIntosh.
“We warmly welcome new members who share our passion for music and look forward to sharing our exciting plans for the coming year."
Anyone can attend the AGM but only SMF members can vote. Annual membership allows individuals and organizations to actively contribute to this organization, and includes the following benefits:
- Free individual admission to observe all 2026 Festival classes (April 20-30, 2026)
- Free individual admission to the post-Festival Stars of Excellence concert (May 11, 2026)
- Voting privileges at the 2025 Annual General Meeting (Nov. 3, 2025)
Membership fees are $40 for individuals ($30 if purchased at or before the AGM) and $50 for organizations. These fees play a vital role in supporting the festival and enable Sudbury Music Festival to continue fostering a vibrant musical community in the future.
