Making a difference
Every dollar raised at the Wine, Women & Purses event remains in the community to provide vital support, education, and care through the Société Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts.
Today, more than 350,000 women in Canada are living with dementia and that number is expected to soar past one million within a generation. Women also make up the majority of unpaid care partners, with over 189,000 currently providing care to loved ones. Shannon says, “Your support of fundraising events for the Alzheimer Society truly makes a difference, because behind every statistic is a story, a mother, a sister, a friend. Our event is dedicated to supporting and celebrating these remarkable women profoundly impacted by dementia.”
