It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing in Sudbury, on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at the age of 93 years.
Daughter of the late Prudent and late Luce (née Gatien) Blais. Wife of the late Léon Simard. Loving mother of the late Diane Brabant, late Raymond Simard (Janet), Pauline Soucy (Denis), Susan Cindric (late Anthony) and Nicole Simard. Cherished grandmother of Michel (Angie), Chantal (Ron), Christopher (Melanie), Anne, Justin (Sarah), Josée (Dave), Zachary, Benjamin, Christiane and Anthony. Great-grandmother of Vanessa, Sebastien, Samuel, Xavier, Aimé, Océane, Arielle, Makenzie, Sophia, Emmett, Taylor, Dayna and Madyson. Dear sister of Cécile Desormeaux (late Bill) and Rita Chartrand (late Richard). Predeceased by her other siblings: Cyprien Blais (late Ruth), Alphonse Blais (Janet), René Blais (Andrea) and André Blais. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford, on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel, on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Donations by cheque or online to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca

Grand-mère chérie de Michel (Angie), Chantal (Ron), Christopher (Melanie), Anne, Justin (Sarah), Josée (Dave), Zachary, Benjamin, Christiane et Anthony. Arrière-grand-mère de Vanessa, Sébastien, Samuel, Xavier, Aimé, Océane, Arielle, Makenzie, Sophia, Emmett, Taylor, Dayna et Madyson. Chère sœur de Cécile Desormeaux (feu Bill) et Rita Chartrand (feu Richard). Elle a été précédée dans la mort par ses autres frères et sœurs : Cyprien Blais (feu Ruth), Alphonse Blais (Janet), René Blais (Andrea) et André Blais. Elle manquera beaucoup à ses nombreux neveux, nièces, parents et amis.
La famille recevra les parents et amis au Coopérative funéraire, 4691, R.R. 15, Chelmsford, le dimanche 16 novembre 2025, de 14 h à 16 h et de 18 h à 20 h.
