Only one commercial customer remains without service following a power outage early Sunday morning that affected 1,500 customers in the Minnow Lake area.
The outage was reported by Sudbury Hydro around 6 a.m. on Dec. 15.
By 7:22 a.m., service has been restored to the Silver Hills retail area and some nearby homes.
Around 8 a.m., it was determined that the cause of the power outage was an underground fault that blew a switch on a feeder line.
With the cause of the disruption determined, teams were able to restore service to the remaining 700 customers aside from one industrial/ office customer.
Anyone still without power is asked to contact Sudbury Hydro at 705-675-7536.
