Peel Region police say a woman is dead after being shot in Brampton, Ont.
Police say the shooting happened today in the Airport Road and Queen Street East area.
They say the victim was treated by paramedics but succumbed to her injuries.
The incident appears to have occurred at a commercial plaza in the area.
Investigators have not released any other details.
They say there is no suspect information at this time.
