The death of an elderly resident of a nursing home in West Nipissing is under investigation by provincial police.
The Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police said they began a death investigation at a nursing home on Michaud Street in West Nipissing at around 10 p.m. Sept. 23.
An 85-year-old from West Nipissing was found deceased by staff members.
This investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by the Nipissing West OPP Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service to determine the cause of death.
