The Sudbury Wolves looked to rebound on the road on Friday night from a tough 8-2 loss two nights prior, this one in Kitchener against the Kitchener Rangers.

It wasn’t the Wolves’ night, however, as they were left off the scoresheet in a 3-0 loss against the Kitchener Rangers, falling to four wins, nine regulation losses and one overtime loss on the season.

Karsen Chartier was the starting goaltender on the road for the Sudbury Wolves and Christian Kirsch got the start in goal for the Kitchener Rangers.

The first goal of the game came with 4:55 remaining in the first period, with Tanner Lam’s sixth goal of the season after a nice deke around a Wolves defenseman, with the assists going to Cameron Arquette and Cameron Reid, putting the Rangers in front by a score of 1-0 at the end of the first period.

The next goal didn’t come until 16 seconds left in the second period, when Jack LaBrash scored his second goal of the season , assisted by Jakub Chromiak and Cameron Reid, giving Kitchener a 2-0 lead heading into the final period of play.

The only goal in the third period was scored with 10 seconds left in the game, with Jack Pridham scoring on the empty net for his eighth goal of the season, assisted by Cameron Arquette, sealing a 3-0 shutout win for the Kitchener Rangers over the Sudbury Wolves.

Christian Kirsch made 19 saves for the shutout in the game.

The Sudbury Wolves head to Owen Sound on Sunday, Nov. 2, for a game in Owen Sound against the Owen Sound Attack, with puck drop scheduled for 6 p.m.
