Patricia Noseworthy (née McLaren) (1951 – 2025)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia “Pat” Noseworthy (née Mclaren), at the age of 74 years, she passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday November 13, 2025, at HSN surrounded by love. Daughter of the late Robert McLaren and the late Noella McLaren (née Restoule). Beloved wife of 55+ years to Paul Noseworthy. Loving Mom of Jennifer (Frank Vellow), Gail (Scott) and Ryan. Cherished grandma to Carter and Ella Vellow who were her absolute pride and joy. Dear sister of Bonita (Johnny Pierini predeceased), Roberta (Don Hachey) (both predeceased), David McLaren (Carmen), John McLaren (Karen), Cheryl Sequin (Richard predeceased), Orville McLaren (Wendy), Kim Myre (Charlie) and Tammy DiLella (predeceased) (Orazio) all of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also predeceased by her best friend Wendy Schroeder (Kent) who she missed terribly and spoke of often.

Pat worked for many years at  the former Tradewinds Hotel in Lively as well as The Comfort Inn in Sudbury. She was a dedicated hard worker who was loved and respected by many of her co-workers over the years. She was forced to retire in 2020 due to covid.

She was an accomplished knitter who was basically self-taught. There was no pattern that she couldn’t figure out, knitting socks, sweaters, toques and mittens. Her specialty was knitting baby sweater sets and blankets which she loved to gift to any new baby who crossed her path. In her younger years she played the accordion, she also loved music and loved to dance and sing. You could always find her at her favorite place, her camp on Manitoulin Island, sitting on the back deck  on her swing with her country music playing, knitting something for someone with a Pepsi by her side and a bag of lay’s chips not far away. She loved playing Bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing board games and cards, shopping, going on road trips, spending time at camp and the beach but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids, always so proud of them and their accomplishments. They will miss sleepovers with her. She was always happiest when we were all together. Pat had the kindest of hearts always generous and giving. She was soft and quiet, but she was also stubborn and was tough when she needed to be. She was very funny with a great sense of humor. She loved to joke around and play pranks on people which still makes us laugh to this day.

She will always be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She showed us how brave and strong she was in her last 3 weeks. You are now at peace, your suffering with Parkinson’s, and dementia is now over. You will forever be our Guardian Angel, please watch over us and keep us safe.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday November 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
