(1945 – 2025)

It is with quiet hearts and a sense of peace that we sadly share Lorraine, a devoted wife and precious Mother, Gramma, Gigi, sister, aunt, daughter and dear friend has been welcomed into the arms of God. After a year long battle and suffering with ALS, Lorraine left us peacefully surrounded by many loved ones. We have comfort knowing her suffering is over and she can now rest easy.

Lorraine was the daughter of Robert and Pauline Moreau (both predeceased). She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas; her loving daughter, Tammy; her beautiful grandchildren Gregory (Stephanie) and Karalynn; and her precious great-granddaughter Brooklyn as well as  Savannah, Braydan and Bella.

Lorraine is lovingly remembered by all of her siblings Gerry (Judy predeceased), Leo (Claudette), Monica (Geoff), Bob (Shelley), Ann (Bill), her many nieces and all of their families.

She worked many years in retail at Dominion, Easton’s, Woolworths, and 11 years at the Sears Catalogue Department and shared many friendships with her colleagues.

Lorraine also enjoyed many years as a member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Garson where she was a parishioner for over 50 years. She proudly taught over 30 women how to quilt and made over 300 quilts, many of which were raffled at the annual Christmas Tea along with many of her other knitted and crocheted crafts. Her passion for quilting remained until her final days as she had to make “just one more quilt”.

She will be fondly remembered by every life she touched in her 80 beautiful years.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr Gervais and her staff at Neomo, all of her nurses at home and HSN as well as all her therapists in their compassionate care over the last few difficult months which provided her a wealth of comfort with this horrible disease. Your continued kindness truly made a difference.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:30am at St Patrick’s Parish, 39 Walford Road, Sudbury.

Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
