I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for so many positive things that have happened at Extendicare the past four years that my mother, Sylvia Brown, was there.

I am writing with regard to the upcoming film on Karla Homolka. I am not normally predisposed to writing to newspapers about social issues but this one just wouldn't let me go.

After more than 100 years in the community, it is with great sadness that we announce that Yolles Furniture will be going out of business.

Taxpayers in Sudbury are paying more taxes and receiving less in return. That is what most Sudburians old and young are telling me. Water, sewer and gas are just some of the things people are complaining about.

Article printed in the Sunday, Nov. 27 issue. The atmosphere at Tom Davies Square has gone to the dogs recently, as the fur was flying at the latest council meeting.

Our fundraising trip to Stage West on the Oct. 28 weekend was a huge success.

Recently the Kinsmen Club of Sudbury hosted their annual Community Sponsorship and Recipient Charities Evening.

Wow, imagine my surprise when I showed up at Science North to make my voice heard in the federal election. As I pushed my way through the rotating door there facing me was the largest lineup of voters I have ever seen.

On behalf of the Alzheimer Society Capital Campaign, I would like to thank Tony and Diane Vlahboulos and all their generous staff at Tony V's Pizza and Restaurant who gave their talent, time and energy to run Breakfast for a Cause.

It's here again! Christmas! Whatever you do from here on out don't make too many more appointments. Wind down what is on your plate. Check out a Christmas concert or play.
