In loving memory of Annette Laforest (née Rivet) who passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Predeceased by her parents Antoinette Rivet (Goupil) and Armand Rivet. Cherished wife of Leo Laforest, shy of celebrating 69 years of marriage on December 29, 2025. Dear mother of Rheal Laforest (Louise), Francine Brouse (Doug), Huguette Monaghan (Blaine), Helene Doussept (Darrell) and Chantal McKay (Kyle). Grandmother of Martine, Robin, Eric, Patrick, Crystal, Katrina, Brandon, Justin, Chanel, Blake, Parker and Landon. Great-grandmother to Caleb, Chloe, Thalia, Vienna, Hayden, Hudson, Haylie, Samira, Liam, Isabella, Jace, Joel and Jack. Predeceased by her siblings Rolande Goulard, Marguerite Gauthier, Guy, Jean-Rene, Roger, Jocelyne Portelance, Suzanne Riopel, Marcel, Denise Maranda, Monique Bisaillon, Michel and Marjolaine Hill. Survived by sister Francine Easton. Sister in law to the late Gerard Laforest (Francoise), Andre (Madeleine), Alfred (Betty) and Richard. Survived by her sister in law Carol.

Annette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked at various jobs throughout her life but being a homemaker was her favourite. She was well known for hosting and cuisine as well as her baking, especially her peanut butter “square” balls.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at HSN 4th Floor North Tower and HSN Amberwood Suites Wing for the exceptional care received in the last four weeks. A special thank-you to ParaMed Home Health for their dedicated support over the last six years, with deep gratitude to Jessica and Sophie for their compassion and kindness. 

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 19th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Paroisse Ste. Dominique, 241 Diane St, Sudbury.
