Olive Geraldine Kitcher (1925 – 2025)

Olive Geraldine Kitcher passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Sudbury, Ontario, at the remarkable age of 100, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Reigate, England in 1925, Olive's life was marked by courage, resilience, community service, and devotion to family. A proud War Bride, she embarked on a new life across the ocean following World War II, building a home and legacy in Canada with her beloved husband, Albert Leslie Kitcher, who predeceased her in Timmins in 1981.

Quirky and no-nonsense, Olive had a spirit all her own—direct, genuine, and unforgettable to all who knew her.

Olive is lovingly survived by her daughter Kathleen Kitcher and her son John Kitcher; her grandchildren Melissa Garrett (Adam), Sean Garrett (Lisa), and Jessica Leclair (Marc); and her cherished great-grandchildren Aiden, Julian, Brontë, Violet, Henry, Isla, and Ted. She also leaves behind many loving relations in England and Niagara Falls.

She was predeceased by her sisters Jackie and Clarice, and her brother Raymond.

A century of memories, stories, and love—Olive's warmth and strength touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
