I'm wondering about descriptive words and communication.
The love of my life is Betty, a chihuahua. I can say with 100-per-cent certainty, that she is a hot dog. My heart twitters and my eyes bulge just a wee bit more than usual, when I watch her work on TV.
I was shocked the first time I heard my mom talking about cooking and eating hot dogs.
I wanted to nip and chew at her ankles at the thought. Could I be that wrong about her?
With time, I realized my mom is not a dog eater, and would never cook a dog and that she was actually referring to a weiner.
Sometimes words can be quite confusing. I am very glad that I did not immediately react to what I was feeling. I was able to gather more information and the picture cleared up nicely for me.
Phew!
I was just wondering, if anything similar has ever happened to you?
