Are you in the Christmas Spirit? My mom says she is not. But, I'm not so sure.
Last weekend, she was outside putting up some Christmas lights. It was a little cold when we were out doing this, but why would she be out there in the first place if she didn't have some Christmas Spirit?
She loves me lots and lots and lots, but I don't think she would put up Christmas lights just for me.
Another example, last night, we slept at my Mummu's and my mom woke up for a refrigerator raid. I accompany her for these types of raids every chance I get!
We tiptoed by the living room and my mom stopped and looked at the Christmas tree star that was left on. She stared at it quite awhile and commented on how peaceful it looked.
This incident only lasted a minute or so and we continued on towards the refrigerator. If there was no Christmas spirit, would she just not bee-line it to the food in the refrigerator?
I suspect her Christmas spirit is alive yet she is struggling to let it shine brightly, since this time of year can also be very difficult for anyone who has lost loved ones. And we have experienced loss in the last three years.
So, based on my research and analysis, I feel the Christmas spirit never really leaves us. It may go dormant like a shingles virus, but when conditions are aligned just right, it begins to grow and glow. I hope my mom finds all her Christmas spirit and I hope the same for anyone reading this tale.
So, I was just wondering, is your Christmas spirit alive?
