Grab your pooch, your costumes and get in the spooky spirit with a Halloween dog walk hosted by the Junction Creek Steward Committee and the Ontario SPCA on Oct. 26.
This community event will help raise funds for local environmental and animal welfare causes.
The Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk will be held Oct. 26 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Twin Forks Playground, 1476 Gary Ave. in New Sudbury.
“Join the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee and the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre for our first-ever Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk!” the hosts said in a news release. “Bring your furry friends for an afternoon of walking, wagging, and celebrating Halloween — all while supporting local environmental and animal welfare initiatives.”
The fun will include:
- A fun and education walk along Junction Creek
- Info about pet safety and eco-friendly trail practices
- A dog costume contest
- Prizes and gift certificates courtesy of Tail Blazers
While the event is free, participants are encouraged to provide pay-what-you-can donations to help support the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee and the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre.
Registration is required, which you can do by clicking here.
