Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt would like to thank the Lo-Ellen Park  Secondary School Students Prioritizing Our Trails (SPOT), Sudbury Secondary  School Roots and Shoots, Lockerby Composite School Green Committee, and St.  Andrew's Youth Group for participating in a walkathon to benefit the Roxborough Greenbelt, Sunday, Jan. 14. Pledges went toward the protection of the Roxborough Greenbelt as a public natural park.  Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt is organizing a community contribution of $50,000 toward this goal.

The Roxborough Greenbelt is one of the last remaining urban forests in central Sudbury, unique in the quality and diversity of habitat it provides  to native flora and fauna, and its accessibility and long history of use by  residents.

Anyone wishing to contribute, can do so at www.friendsoftehgreenbelt.net , or phone 673-1874.
