Body of 24-year-old man found in former Sudbury hospital

Police say there is no suspicion of criminality or foul play, and a post-mortem is being conducted through the coroner’s office to assist in confirming the cause of death

After hearing reports from the community, Sudbury.com reached out to Greater Sudbury Police Services who offered further details. 

Around 4:45 p.m. on May 17, officers were dispatched to a vacant property on Paris Street in relation to a sudden death” said GSPS communications co-ordinator Kaitlyn Dunn, in an email. Information provided was that an individual had located a deceased person on the property.

Greater Sudbury Police, Fire and Paramedic Services were dispatched to the scene.

“Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the 24-year-old man was deceased.”

Dunn stated that there is no suspicion of criminality or foul play, and a post mortem is being conducted through the coroner’s office to assist in confirming the cause of death.
