The Caruso Club in Sudbury is set to come alive Nov. 1 for the fifth edition of the Between Us Ladies dinner soirée, hosted by the Sudbury-based women’s-empowerment organization, Imperfection Lives Here.
More than just an event, the organization describes it as “a transformative gathering where more than 150 women from Sudbury and across the province will come together to celebrate women’s leadership, unity, and the power of connection.”
The evening, which begins at 6 p.m., is built around a dinner as well as mentorship opportunities, and this year, attendees will hear a keynote address from Lisa Lounsbury.
An international speaker and founder of New Day Wellness Inc., Lounsbury is the author of two books, host of the Your Wellness podcast, and at the event she will share her journey — from competitive dancer and pre-Olympic winter triathlon competitor to her solo 350-kilometre trek on Spain’s Camino de Santiago.
“Her message: embrace imperfection and live with courage,” reads the release.
The evening will also feature a unique auction, allowing women to match with their chosen mentor, with all proceeds donated to SWC (formerly the Sudbury Women’s Centre).
“As we mark the fifth year of Between Us Ladies, I’m deeply grateful for the support that has carried us this far,” said Imperfection co-founder Gina Gegeoju, in the release. “This event is a reflection of what happens when women and community come together to share their journey.
I’m humbled by how this community continues to remind us that transformation begins when we lift each other up and lead with authenticity.”
