Greater Sudbury Police have made in an arrest in the case of an Aug. 3 armed robbery on Frood Road.
That day, a man walked into the Shaw Pharmacy at 401 Frood Rd., brandished a handgun and demanded narcotics. Staff complied, police said, and the suspect fled with a large quantity of drugs.
No one was injured in what police describe as a “daring daylight robbery.” The suspect got away before police arrived.
The investigation led detectives from the Break, Enter and Robbery Unit to a residence on Ontario Street, police said, where the suspect was arrested on Aug. 10.
On executing the search warrant at the residence, police reported they seized narcotics, a replica handgun and other evidence.
A 67-year-old man who has not been named has been charged with robbery, weapons, drug and parole offences. He remains in custody pending an appearance in court.
