Last week, Sudbury.com asked you, our readers, to join us in supporting the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northeastern Ontario for our Cares Spring Match: Sheltering our Communities and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.
We partnered with Real Canadian Superstore to offer care packages for our readers to purchase for the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northeastern Ontario through an online pop-up store.
Sudbury.com and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched 12 times!
Together, we raised an incredible $5,250 for the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northeastern Ontario and delivered 15 care packages helping to support those who need it most. Thank you!
Special thanks to Real Canadian Superstore for donating the care packages for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Michele Roy, Weed Man Sudbury, Conroy Scott LLP, Cambrian Ford, Jack Dougan Associates Ltd., Connected Living with Dawn Condon, Sunwire, Rastall Nut and Bolt Co., Equipment World Sudbury, LIUNA Local 493 and Palladino Subaru
If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to your local shelter. For more information on how to give, click here.
